Johnny Chop’s Chopper

Johnny Chop’s Chopper

Peter was a professional photographer who loved taking pictures of motorcycles. He met Johnny, a renowned motorcycle builder, at a small show in Woodland Hills, California. Johnny was impressed with Peter’s photography skills and offered to help him with his photoshoots. Peter explained to Johnny that he wanted to capture the reflection of the bike by wetting it down. Johnny agreed and invited Peter to a helipad a few days later.

At the helipad, Peter had a great time taking photos of Johnny’s high-class build motorcycle with his big shiny reflectors. Johnny was pleased with the way Peter lit his bike and even showed him his next build, promising to give him the first shoot at it. Peter felt honored and excited about the opportunity.

Unfortunately, Peter never got the chance to take photos of Johnny’s next build. A few months after their photoshoot together, Johnny passed away suddenly, leaving Peter feeling a great loss. He also felt that the motorcycle industry had lost a valuable member.

Johnny’s bike was a 2005 Johnny Chop Ind. build, featuring an S&S engine with a displacement of 96″. The heads were SS, and the valves were Jims. The bike had a girder fork made by Gary Hetrick and a PM rim size of 21″ on the front and 18″ on the rear. The bike’s frame was built by Johnny Chop Ind. with a buck wild design molding and Paul Cox seat. The bike was painted candy yellow with HOK paint by Buck of Buckwild Paint.

Peter felt a deep connection to Johnny’s bike, knowing that it was built with love and passion. He admired Johnny’s attention to detail and the personalized modifications that made the bike unique. Peter was grateful for the time he spent with Johnny and felt privileged to have had the opportunity to capture his artistry through his photography
