Larry’s 1985 Ford Truck

TMI Purchased the 85 F150 bullnose for 500 bucks. We knew we could take the stepchild of trucks and turn it into a show machine but it would take something really special. Well, using an interceptor front clip is not anything new but using the whole car except for the body. Well I think that is something rare. We bought a ex black and white 2008 interceptor for 2800 bucks and took the body off and threw it away. From there we took the F150 body off of its chassis. We set the body aside and threw everything else away. Now how do we mount the body to the interceptors underpinnings? This is where RnG Customs in Hesperia took on the task to turn our little 6cyl F150 into a show machine. At First Gabe Bell (the G in RnG) looked at me puzzled. Wait what are you trying to do. I want to put the truck body on this chassis. Too big cant be done. Nope I said and pulled out the measuring tape and guess what it fit like a glove (well moving the bed forward a little over an inch) like a glove. The horns front and rear had to be shortened and the bed floor raised 6 inches to accommodate the coiled suspension and upright gas tank. Well it all fit after a mere 3 weekends of fab work and a wiring harness stripped down of what was not needed for the truck body. We used everything right down the wiper motor. Nothing was left of the F150. Well after all was said and done she kinda reminds people of C10 square body. I hope this build inspires more Bullnose owners that this model is not the step child of the custom truck worls and can hold its own at any show.
